This coat symbolizes my sobriety, as it was one of the first pieces I created after starting my journey to sobriety. It’s the coat I started to wear when I went out dancing through my recovery, showing and inspiring people that they don’t have to be intoxicated to have a great time. It was part of a series of coats that I upcycled and sold as “Fun Coats”. I added the bright purple fun fur and changed the buttons on this coat. I liked it so much that I kept it for myself. I wear it often to this day.
